Alpha Shuttle

Shuttle
This aerospace plane is able to take off and land vertically like a helicopter or a Harrier Jump Jet. This ability allows the shuttle to make landfall in just about any reasonably flat location on the planet's surface. Its SCRAMjet engine allows the craft to fly without carrying any fuel, as it uses the gases in the air of Alpha Prime for propulsion. This is a concept currently being studied for use on Earth in the designs which may one day replace NASA's Space Shuttle.
