An enormous jet stream-twice the velocity of Earth's-swaddles Alpha Prime. It moves winds around the planet with astonishing speed. Hurricanes are twice the energy and size of their terrestrial counterparts. There are spots of calm and tranquility, but they seem to be over deserts and other inhospitable areas, such as the poles. The weather definitely will prove to be a challenge for human settlers.
